Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Remembering the One, my pain melts away.

The Giver of peace to my soul has become kind, and I am set completely free.

Holding the One in mind loosens the ache you have been carrying.
The deeper layer

Simrat is remembrance, holding the One steadily in awareness; khalaasee is release, freedom. Hard things may stay; carrying the One with you changes how their weight sits — the ache loosens because you are no longer facing it alone.

A Question to Sit With

What is one worry that feels lighter when you remember you are not carrying it alone?
