O Lord, You celebrate in the Society of the Saints; You reveal Yourself to them. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

You are a treasure-house of kindness, an ocean of peace.

Your praise spreads into every corner of everything.

In the Sangat You take delight.

There You let Yourself be seen.

The One is an ocean of peace whose kindness reaches every corner.
The deeper layer

The One is an ocean of kindness, and shows up in the Sangat.

Kirpaa nidhaan means treasure-house of kindness. Sookh kay saagar means ocean of peace. The picture is of the One overflowing, never running short. Think of the sea: you could never scoop it empty.

Satsang means the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. Rang is the joy there. That is where the One daristaa-i-o, lets Himself be seen. Grace shows itself where people gather their attention on the One. It is a gift received, not something earned.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you feel the most peace — and who is usually there with you?
