Homes and streets and marketplaces all turn beautiful when the Name lives among them.
Where good people keep the One close, even the fear of death loses its hold.
Everything falls into place, and hearts' real wishes come true; friends enjoy real peace together, their pain and doubt dissolved. The Perfect Teacher has made them beautiful with the Word — I would give anything in thanks.
This one says the Name makes ordinary places beautiful.
Ghar mandar hatnaalay sohay means homes, temples and hatnaalay, shops and market streets, all look lovely where the Name lives. The sacred is not kept inside one building. It fills everyday streets. Think of how one friendly shopkeeper can make a whole street feel warm.
The verse also says jam kee faasee, the noose of Death, is cut away. That means the fear of death loses its grip on those who keep the Name close.
The mood is of a whole town at ease. Friends are glad together, and pain and doubt are gone.
What makes an ordinary, everyday place feel warm and good to be in?
