Steady and unchanging, the all-knowing One fills every place.
By the Guru's grace, serve the One, with the true Word as your badge, like a pass that lets you in.
Whatever the One makes is whole and complete. Through the Guru's teaching, enjoy the One's love.
The One is beyond reach, beyond knowing, beyond sight; turned toward the Guru, you come to know the One.
sachaa amar, sach furmaan = the true command, the hukam. nihchal = unmoving, steady. pooraa thaat banaa-i-aa = the whole design or arrangement is perfect. agam agochar alakh = inaccessible, unfathomable, unseen — yet gurmukh har jaan = knowable through the teaching, from within. sabad neesaan = the Shabad as one's insignia or passport at the door.
