He remains always blissful, day and night, and he merges into the Shabad, the Word of the Perfect Guru. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

A heart dyed in the One's love gets to enjoy that love all the time.

It stays glad through the day and through the night, resting inside the Guru's perfect word like a home it never has to leave.

Joy that comes from within doesn't clock out when night falls.
The deeper layer

This is the heart of the shabad: a heart colored with the One's love stays happy day and night.

This line is the Rahao, the "pause" line, the center of the whole shabad. Har rang raataa man rang maanay means "the mind dyed in the One's love enjoys that love."

Sadaa anand rahai din raatee means "it stays in joy, day and night." Anand is deep joy, and sadaa means always. Why always? Because the joy comes from the sabad, the Guru's word. It doesn't come from how the day is going. Think of a phone plugged into the wall. It doesn't matter what apps are open; the charge keeps flowing.

A Question to Sit With

What is a joy in your life that stays steady no matter the day?
