Soohee, Fifth Mehl:
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਦਰਸਿ ਪਾਪ ਕੋਟਿ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥
jaa kai daras paap kot utaaray.
By the Blessed Vision of their Darshan, millions of sins are erased.
ਭੇਟਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਇਹੁ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
bhaytat sang ih bhavjal taaray. ||1||
Meeting with them, this terrifying world-ocean is crossed over||1||

Just being near certain good people can wash away a whole pile of old mistakes.
In their company, even the wide, churning sea of life becomes something you can cross.
The company you keep can wash you clean or weigh you down.
jaa kai daras paap kot utaaray — the mere sight of the holy lifts countless paap (faults). bhavjal (the world-ocean) is softened from terror to a wide churning sea; the point is that good company makes the crossing possible. We are shaped, for better, by who we stand near.
