Nanak seeks the Protection of their Sanctuary; he is forever a sacrifice to them. ||4||7||13||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One personally shapes and lifts up those who serve with love.

I take shelter with them, and I honor them with my whole heart.

Those who serve with love are quietly cared for by the One.
The deeper layer

prabh kay sayvak prabh aap savaaray — the One itself beautifies its servants; the growth is not self-made. saran naanak tinH sad balihaaray — devotion to the good is itself a refuge. The one who serves is cared for, and we honor that care by keeping such company.

A Question to Sit With

Who has helped shape you into who you are becoming?
