ਜੀਵਤ ਪੇਖੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
jeevat paykhay jinHee har har Dhi-aa-i-aa.
Only those who meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, are seen to live on.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

In the company of loving hearts, they come to see clearly what really is.
To truly live is to keep what matters most in your heart.
The Rahao offers the counterweight to passing: jeevat peykhay jinHee har har Dhi-aa-i-aa — those who remember are seen to live, in a deeper sense than mere breathing. saaDhsang tinHee darsan paa-i-aa — the seeing happens in good company. Living well, not living long, is the point.
