The Armor Nothing Can Pierce

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਪਹਿਰਿ ਸਨਾਹ ॥
paarbarahm jap pahir sanaah.
I have strapped on the armor of meditation on the Supreme Lord God.
ਕੋਟਿ ਆਵਧ ਤਿਸੁ ਬੇਧਤ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
kot aavaDh tis bayDhat naahi. ||2||
It cannot be pierced, even by millions of weapons. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Keeping the One in mind is like wearing armor that no worry or fear can get through.

A thousand troubles may come flying, but they cannot pierce a heart that is settled in the One.

A settled heart is armor that trouble cannot get through.
The deeper layer

paarbarahm jap pahir sanaah — the sanaah (armor) of meditation on the Supreme. kot aavaDh tis bayDhat naahi — millions of aavadh (weapons) cannot bedh (pierce) it. Remembrance as protection.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you stay calm when worries come flying at you?
