A Taste Beyond Describing

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਭੁੰਚੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
amrit naam bhunch man maahee.
Taste the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within your mind.
ਅਚਰਜ ਸਾਦ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਬਰਨੇ ਨ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੨॥
achraj saad taa kay barnay na jaahee. ||2||
Its taste is wondrous - it cannot be described. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Take in the sweet Name deep inside your heart, like the best food you have ever tasted.

Its flavor is so wonderful that words simply cannot capture it — you have to taste it to know.

Some good things you can only understand by tasting them yourself.
The deeper layer

amrit naam bhunch man maahee — taste the amrit (nectar) Name within. achraj saad taa kay barnay na jaahee — its saad (taste) is achraj (wondrous), beyond describing. The joy of remembrance is too big for words.

A Question to Sit With

What is something wonderful that is impossible to describe until you experience it?
