A Wealth That Never Runs Short

ਸੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
so saahu sayv jit tot na aavai.
So serve the Sovereign Lord, and you shall never lack anything.
ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਸੁਖਿ ਅਨਦਿ ਵਿਹਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
khaat kharchat sukh anad vihaavai. ||3||
While eating and consuming, you shall pass your life in peace. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Give yourself to the One, the giver whose supply never runs out.

Drawing on it freely, you can move through your days in peace and quiet delight.

Some wealth you can spend freely and it never runs out.
The deeper layer

so saahu sayv jit tot na aavai — serve the saahu (banker/giver) who never runs tot (short). khaat kharchat sukh anad vihaavai — eating and spending, life passes in peace. Abundance that cannot be exhausted.

A Question to Sit With

What is something good you can give away and still have just as much of?
