A Glory No Illness Can Touch

ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥
jap har har naam achraj partaap.
Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; how wondrous is His glory!
ਜਾਲਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਹਿ ਤੀਨੇ ਤਾਪ ॥੩॥
jaal na saakeh teenay taap. ||3||
The three types of illness cannot consume it. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Keep the Name of the One close — its wonder is truly astonishing.

There is a well-being it brings that no trouble of body, mind, or spirit can burn away.

There is a steadiness in you that no trouble can burn away.
The deeper layer

jap har har naam achraj partaap — the achraj (wondrous) partaap (glory) of the Name. jaal na saakeh teenay taap — the teen taap (three fevers — of body, mind, spirit) cannot consume it. A steadiness beneath every kind of suffering.

A Question to Sit With

What keeps you steady even when your body or mind feels troubled?
