In plain words

One day each of us sets out from here, and the only thing worth carrying is what we made real inside — the Name, the truth we lived by.

I am welcomed with honor in the One's court. The Teacher's Word and a deep, loving awe take me there.

The only wealth you carry onward is what you made real inside.
The deeper layer

This is the rahaa-o line, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. It is about what we carry when we leave this life.

Chalai janam savaar vakhar sach lai means a person leaves with a life made beautiful, carrying vakhar, goods, made of sach, truth. That truth, the True Name, is the one kind of wealth that goes with us.

Pat paa-ay darbaar means such a person is honored in the darbaar, the royal court of the One. That comes through the Guru's Word and bhai. Here bhai means deep, loving awe, not fright.

Think of moving to a new school. Your old desk stays behind, but your kindness and your skills come with you. What we become is what we carry onward.

A Question to Sit With

If you could only carry one thing forward, what would you want it to be?
