If only someone would come, and lead me to meet my Darling Beloved; I would sell myself to him. ||1||

In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

There's someone I long for so deeply that if anyone could lead me to that Beloved, I would hand over everything I have without a second thought.

That's how much this longing matters to me — it's the biggest wish of my heart.

Real longing would give anything to close the distance.
The deeper layer

ko-ee aan milaavai mayraa preetam pi-aaraa, ha-o tis peh aap vaychaa-ee — if anyone would lead me to my Beloved, I would give my whole self to them. The opening ||1|| verse of a famous viraha (longing) shabad; the whole self offered for one meeting.

A Question to Sit With

What's something you want so much you'd give a lot to have it?
