jis tooN deh so-ee jan paa-ay hor nihfal sabh chaturaa-ee. ||22||
That humble being alone receives it, unto whom You bestow it. All other clever tricks are fruitless. ||22||

The gift of love comes to the heart that's simply open to receiving it — freely given, freely taken.
All my clever plans and shortcuts to grab it just come up empty. It isn't something to outsmart my way into; it's something to open up to.
You can't outsmart your way into what only opens to a willing heart.
jis tooN dehi so-ee jan paa-ay, hor nihfal sabh chaturaa-ee — the one You bless receives it; all other cleverness (chaturaa-ee) is fruitless. Grace cannot be schemed for, only opened to.
A Question to Sit With
What's something you can't force or trick your way into — only open up to?
