The Treasure That Fills Every Space

thaan thanantar rav rahi-aa sarab jee-aa partipaal jee-o.
He is pervading and permeating the spaces and interspaces; He loves and cherishes all beings.
sach khajaanaa sanchi-aa ayk naam Dhan maal jee-o.
I have accumulated the true treasure, the wealth and riches of the One Name.
man tay kabahu na veesrai jaa aapay ho-ay da-i-aal jee-o. ||5||
I shall never forget Him from my mind, since He has been so merciful to me. ||5||

In plain words

The One fills every space there is, caring for every single living thing — no one and nowhere left out.

The real treasure I get to gather is not stuff; it is the Name. And once kindness helps me hold it, I never want to set it down.

The real treasure is not stuff — it is the Name, and it cannot be lost.
The deeper layer

The One fills every space and cares for everyone, and the Name is a treasure that can never be lost.

Thaan thanantar rav rahi-aa — the One fills every place, and every space in between. Sarab jee-aa partipaal — the One is partipaal, the one who cares for and looks after every living being. No one is left out.

Sach khajaanaa sanchi-aa — I have gathered the true khajaanaa, treasure. That treasure is the One Name. Think of a piggy bank that no one can ever break into, and that never runs out.

Man tay kabahu na veesrai jaa aapay ho-ay da-i-aal — I will never forget the One, because the One has been so kind to me. The treasure stays safe, held by grace.

A Question to Sit With
