You are the living soul inside the whole world, and this whole unfolding is Your real play — genuine, not a trick.
Your play is true, endless and beyond my reach; without You, who could ever explain it to me? So many wise and accomplished seekers exist, yet without You not one could even be called wise.
The fear of endings and beginnings can drive a mind wild — only the Teacher can hold it steady in place. When the old faults are melted away by the Word and goodness gathers instead, the One is found.
aatam raam sansaaraa — the divine Self within the world; saachaa khayl tumhaaraa — Your play is real. khayl (play) says creation is the One's own joyful unfolding, agam apaaraa, unreachable and infinite. kaal bikaal bha-ay dayvaanay — the churn of death-and-birth can unsettle the mind, but man raakhi-aa gur thaa-ay, the Guru anchors it. The closing line is the quiet method of the whole Chhant: avgan sabad jalaa-ay — the old faults burn off in the Word, gun sangam — and in the company of goodness, prabh paa-ay, the One is found.
When your mind feels wild or worried, what helps hold it steady?
