The One is not off in some distant place; He lives in every single heart. He Himself is the source of all this closeness — that is His greatness.
He is unshakable, beyond price, without limit, and the True One is found through the Perfect Teacher. He Himself brings hearts into union; with one glance of grace, He draws them close.
prabh door na ho-ee ghat ghat so-ee — God is not far, He is in each and every heart. tis kee naar sabaa-ee — all are His beloveds, a striking equality: no heart is closer by rank or birth. aapay rasee-aa aapay raavay — He is both the joy and the one who delights; the closeness we feel is His own doing. nadar karay liv laa-ee-ai — by His nadar, His glance of grace, the loving bond is formed. Grace here is received, not earned.
