Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One is always kind, and heard the prayer that came straight from a loving heart.

Every trouble eased, and that night the whole household could finally sleep in peace.

A heartfelt prayer being heard can turn a fearful night into a peaceful sleep.
The deeper layer

The Rahau: ardaas sunee bhagat apune kee — the devotee's prayer heard; sabh naanak sukh savantee — all now sleeping in peace. Remembrance (simrat) dissolving sorrow.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you would want to say in a prayer from your whole heart?
