You shall be in peace forever, and you shall not suffer in pain any longer, O Siblings of Destiny; the Lord Himself shall come and abide in your mind. ||2||

In plain words

You are the one who colors us in love — the color comes from You, not from anything we do.

So sing, keep singing, wrapped in that color. Let your love reach toward the One.

Do the quiet work the teaching asks: set aside the small, grasping self and turn your whole attention there.

Then a lasting calm settles in, and the One comes to live right inside your mind.

The color of love is given, not manufactured — receive it and sing.
The deeper layer

This is the Rahau, the heart of the hymn. aapay rang charhaa-ay — the divine itself dyes the heart; the color of love is given, not manufactured. gur kee kaar... aap chhod — do the teaching’s work, drop haumai (the sense of being a separate self). sadaa sahj — a lasting natural ease. har aap vasai man aa-ay — the One comes to dwell within.

A Question to Sit With

What does it feel like to let go of trying to look important?
