Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
When a person's heart is full of the Name, everything about their ordinary life turns holy — the food they eat, the clothes they wear, the small stuff of every day.
Their home becomes a sacred place, because kind people, seekers, and travelers are welcomed there and given rest.
Even the horses they ride and the roads they travel feel blessed, because they carry good and gentle people on their way.
Their everyday actions, their work, their little duties — all of it glows, because their words keep circling back to the One.
The ones who carry goodness as their treasure are the ones who find their way home to the Guru.
When a life is full of the Name, everything it touches becomes holy.
Earlier verses spoke harshly of the clothes and food of people who forget the Name. This one turns that around. For people soaked in the Name, everything is pavit, sacred. Their food and clothes. Their homes and resting places. Even the horses and saddles that carry good people.
Holiness is not locked inside special objects. It shines out from a loving heart into the most ordinary things. Think of a kitchen table where a family eats together every night. It is just wood, but it feels special because of the love around it.
Look at the homes the verse calls sacred. They are the ones where servants, Sikhs and abhi-aagat, wandering seekers, are welcomed to rest. Welcoming others is holy. Pauris 30 and 34 pictured the same daily life feeling empty. Here it glows, changed by love.
What ordinary thing in your day might feel completely different if you did it with love?
