You can give speech after speech and your own doubt still will not lift. Everyone grows tired of just talking and talking about it.
But when the One quietly opens up understanding inside a person, their heart fills all the way through, and stays full.
Kabir says that talking and preaching can't clear away doubt. Real understanding comes from within.
Kathnee kahi bharam na jaa-ee: just giving talks doesn't remove bharam, doubt. Sabh kath kath rahee lukaa-ee: everyone is worn out from all the talking.
Then comes what does work. Jaa ka-o gurmukh aap bujhaa-ee: the One helps the gurmukh, a person turned toward the Guru's teaching, to truly understand. It is a gift, not something won by argument. Taa kay hirdai rahi-aa samaa-ee: then the One fills that person's heart.
Think of learning to ride a bike. Someone can explain balance to you for an hour. But one day you just feel it, and you're riding. From then on, you know it inside, not just in words.
Have you ever truly understood something only when you felt it, not just when someone explained it?
