In plain words

The Guru gives just a little grace,

and my whole self, my body and my mind, is drawn into the One.

Kabir says: I am soaked through with this love. I have met the Life of the world, the Great Giver.

A single drop of grace, received not earned, is enough to dissolve into the One.
The deeper layer

Kabir says just a little grace from the Guru is enough to fill his whole self with the One.

Gur kichant kirpaa keenee: the Guru gave only a tiny bit of kirpaa, grace. That shows how little is needed. Grace is a gift we receive, not a prize we earn, and one drop is plenty.

Sabh tan man dayh har leenee: body, mind, and whole being were drawn into the One.

Think of one drop of food coloring in a glass of water. Just one drop, and the whole glass turns color.

Kahi kabeer rang raataa: Kabir says, I am soaked in this love. Mili-o jagjeevan daataa: I have met the Life of the world, the Great Giver.

Look back at the whole shabad. It began with pure seeing. Talking and preaching could not finish the journey. Grace did.

A Question to Sit With

When something good arrives that you did not earn, how does it feel to simply receive it?
