In plain words

Your story is beyond telling — no words can hold it.

Treasure of every goodness, Giver of peace, Your greatness is higher than all.

Each person lives out the path that was written into them.

And the one You bless with a chance to serve is filled and satisfied just by seeing You.

Some things are too big for words — and the biggest of all is still close enough to serve.
The deeper layer

The One is too great for any story to hold, and getting to serve the One is a gift in itself.

This is the rahaa-o line, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Tayree akath kathaa kathan na jaa-ee — "Your story cannot be told." Akath means beyond words. The One overflows every description, like trying to pour the ocean into a cup. One name given here is gun niDhaan, a treasure of every goodness.

Next comes jaisee tum likh paa-ee — each person lives the path You wrote for them. This is read tenderly. It does not mean nothing we do matters. It means our path is held in loving hands.

Last, sayvaa, or service, is called a gift the One gives, not a chore handed out. The reward is simply darsan, seeing the One, and daykh aghaa-ee, feeling full just from that seeing. Think of helping a friend you love. Being with them is the whole reward.

A Question to Sit With

What is something so wonderful that words never quite capture it?
