Grace Is Waking to the One Already Within Everything

ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸਮਾਨੇ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥
sarab nirantar tumeh samaanay jaa ka-o tuDh aap bujhaa-ee.
You are contained in all, but he alone realizes this, whom You bless with understanding.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਮਿਟਿਓ ਅਗਿਆਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਏ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ॥੩॥
gur parsaad miti-o agi-aanaa pargat bha-ay sabh thaa-ee. ||3||
By Guru's Grace, his spiritual ignorance is dispelled, and he is respected everywhere. ||3||

In plain words

You live seamlessly inside everything — but only the one You wake up to it truly knows.

When grace clears away the fog of not-knowing, that person is welcomed everywhere.

The One is already inside everything; grace is simply waking up to what's already here.
The deeper layer

The One lives inside everything, and grace is waking up to see it.

Sarab nirantar tumeh samaanay — "You live inside all, without a gap." Nirantar means seamless, with no join anywhere. It is Ik Onkar, "One Creator of all," said plainly.

Knowing this is not a matter of being clever. It comes to jaa ka-o tuDh aap bujhaa-ee, the one You Yourself wake up to it. Think of WiFi filling every room of your house. It was there the whole time, but you only notice once your phone connects.

Gur parsaad miti-o agi-aanaa — by the Guru's grace, not-knowing is cleared away, like fog lifting off a road. Then pargat bha-ay sabh thaa-ee — that person is honored everywhere. The honor does not come from rank or money. It comes from their clear sight.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you notice a sense of wonder or connection that you can't quite explain?
