He is imperishable, the Giver of all beings; meditating on Him, all filth is removed.

He is the treasure of excellence, the object of His devotees, but rare are those who find Him. ||1||

In plain words

The One who never fades is the Giver of every living thing. When I hold that One in mind, the heaviness inside me washes away.

This One is a treasure of everything good, kept close by those who love the teaching — though only a rare few reach out and find it.

Holding the One in mind rinses the heart clean.
The deeper layer

Simrat sabh mal kho-ee — remembering rinses away the built-up heaviness of the mind, the way clean water carries off dust. Gun nidhaan is a treasure of every good quality. And “rare” is not a locked door; it is an invitation — the treasure is always here, and most of us simply walk past it.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel lighter and clearer inside?
