Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One clears away pains carried for a long, long time, and brings a dried-up, tired heart back to life.

Just to catch sight of that presence fills me with joy, as I turn the One’s Name over in my mind.

A tired, dried-up heart can be brought back to life.
The deeper layer

Sookaa man sadhaarai — a “dry,” parched mind is watered again. Darsan is the blessed sight of the One. The phrase janam janam is rendered gently as “carried for a long time,” keeping the feeling of long-held pain finally easing.

A Question to Sit With

What brings you back to life when you feel worn out?
