In plain words

The Teacher’s feet have settled inside my heart, and my days feel blessed with good fortune.

The perfect One grew kind, and I found the treasure of the Name waiting in my own mind.

The treasure you are seeking may already be inside you.
The deeper layer

The Guru's feet have settled in Guru Arjan's heart, and he finds a treasure already inside.

Gur kay charan basay rid bheetar — the Guru's feet live inside my heart. Feet stand for humble love and closeness. It is like keeping the Guru's footsteps inside you, so you walk the way the Guru walks.

Subh lakhan prabh keenay — God gave me good signs, good fortune.

Naam nidhaan man cheenay — I recognized the treasure of the Name in my own mind. Cheenay means to recognize. The treasure was not fetched from somewhere far away. It was found inside. Think of hunting all over for your house key, then finding it in your own pocket.

A Question to Sit With

What good thing might already be within you, waiting to be noticed?
