Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Maker brought calm right into my home, and the fever let go of my family.

We were kept safe, because we turned to the shelter of the True One.

Sometimes grace looks very ordinary: a fever breaking, a home growing quiet again.
The deeper layer

Thaadh paa-ee kartaaray -- the Creator brought coolness, quiet. Taap chhod ga-i-aa parvaaray -- the fever left the household. Sorath here is a raag of comfort in real trouble -- illness in a family -- not abstract theology.

A Question to Sit With

When has a hard thing finally easing brought relief to your whole home?
