The Supreme Lord God has stood by me and fulfilled me,

I contemplate and cherish the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One stood by me and carried me all the way through -- nothing was left half-finished.

Held to the teaching, I was lifted; I hold the Name close and treasure it.

What the One begins in you, He carries all the way to the end.
The deeper layer

Paarbarahm nibaahee pooree -- the One saw it through to completion. Kaa-ee baat na rahee-aa ooree -- nothing left lacking; grace does not start something and abandon it half-done.

A Question to Sit With

What is something unfinished you would like to see carried all the way through?
