ਗੁਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਈਐ ॥
gun gobind nit gaa-ee-ai.
So sing forever the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe;
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥
saaDhsang mil Dhi-aa-ee-ai.
joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate on Him.
ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥
man baaNchhat fal paa-ay.
The fruits of your mind's desires are obtained
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਰਿਦੈ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੩॥
gur pooraa ridai Dhi-aa-ay. ||3||
by meditating on the Perfect Guru within your heart. ||3||

Sing the One's goodness every day.
Gather with the good-hearted and hold Him in mind, and the fruits your heart wishes for will ripen.
Some good things grow best when you tend them together, not alone.
Saadhsang mil dhi-aa-ee-ai -- remembrance done together, in company. Man baanchhat fal -- the wished-for fruit; things ripen in their season when the heart is rooted.
