Your Life Is a Garden; Plant Truth and Kindness

Night and day, you shall earn the profit of the Lord's Name; you shall have the treasure overflowing with the wealth of devotional worship. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Make truth your field, truth your seed, and truth the thing you trade in.

Then day by day you gather real riches — a treasure of goodness that keeps overflowing.

Your life is like a garden — plant truth and kindness, and that's exactly what grows.
The deeper layer

A lovely farming-and-trading image: "let Truth be the farm, Truth the seed, Truth the merchandise." A whole life imagined as a farm where you plant truth and harvest truth — and the profit is "the treasure overflowing with devotion." Truth planted grows into more truth; goodness is a crop you cultivate. For a child: your life is like a garden — plant truth and kindness, and that's what grows.

A Question to Sit With

If your life were a garden, what seeds would you most want to plant?
