In plain words

I so admire people who listen for what's good and speak kind, true words.

Goodness naturally makes them lovely, and their calm helps everyone around them.

Wisdom is like a boat that carries many safely across rough waters.

People who listen for good and speak kindly become naturally lovely — and they help everyone around them.
The deeper layer

The first Chhant praises those who "listen with their ears" and "chant with their tongues": they are "naturally embellished with priceless virtues" and "have come to save the world." Goodness makes a person beautiful without effort, and such people lift everyone around them — like a boat carrying many across. "Those blessed... are not asked to render their account" (grace, no scorecard). For a child: people who listen for good and speak kindly become naturally lovely and help everyone around them.

A Question to Sit With

How does one calm, kind person help everyone around them feel better?
