People of all four castes sing his praises, and the six schools of the old holy books. Brahma and the others think about his goodness.
The thousand-tongued serpent king sings his praises with delight, lovingly tuned to him from beginning to end.
Shiva, free of wanting, sings of Guru Nanak, who knows the meditation that never stops.
Kal the poet says: I sing the praise of Guru Nanak, who enjoys raaj jog — ruling in the world and joined with the One.
Every rank of people sings the same praise. Baran chaar, the four castes, were the groups society sorted people into, from high to low. Here all four sing together, and no one is shut out.
Khat darsan are the six schools of the old Indian holy books. Brahma, the serpent king with a thousand tongues, and Shiva are figures from the old stories. A thousand tongues is a picture of praise that never runs out.
