The dust of their feet brings emancipation; in the company of Sadh Sangat, the True Congregation, we are united with the Lord. ||3||

In plain words

Those the One has forgiven, from the very beginning, are joined with the Word, brothers and sisters.

Being humble as the dust at their feet sets us free, brothers and sisters. Gathered in the Sangat, we are brought to meet the One.

The Sangat, humbly shared, carries everyone across together.
The deeper layer

Those the One forgives get joined to the Word. And the way there is humble, and it is together.

Sabday la-i-an milaa-ay — the ones the One has forgiven are joined to the Sabad, the Word.

Then comes an old picture of humility: Dhoorh, the dust of their feet. It means being glad to sit in the lowest place among good people. Think of a new kid who joins a kind group and simply listens and learns. That humble place is a doorway.

Satsangat mayl milaa-ay — in the Sangat, people gathered together to remember the One, we are joined to the One. So finding the One is a shared walk. We find it together, side by side, everyone on the same level.

A Question to Sit With
