O Nanak, the One True Lord is permanent and stable. He does not die, and He is not born. ||5||1||11||

In plain words

Everyone has one task above all: to serve the One, who created Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.

Nanak says: the One True Lord stays steady forever. The One does not die, and is not born.

The One is the steady Source behind every name and form, always here.
The deeper layer

Serve the One who made everything, the steady One who is never born and never dies.

Aykas kee sir kaar ayk: one task is on everyone's head, to serve the ayk, the One. Jin brahmaa bisan rudr upaa-i-aa: the One who created Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva (Rudra), honored in the Hindu tradition. Nihchal saachaa ayko: the True One alone is nihchal, unshakable. The teaching points beyond every form to the one formless Source.

A Question to Sit With

What does it mean to you that something can be always here, never coming or going?
