In plain words

Nanak says: those whom the True Guru sets to serve are perfectly fortunate.

They receive the fruit of whatever they long for, and they find peace in the Guru's words, the Gurbani.

A life given to the Name finds its deepest wishes and a flowing peace.
The deeper layer

Those drawn into the True Guru's service are blessed, and they find peace in the Guru's words.

The shabad ends with joy. Pooray vadbhaagee means perfectly fortunate. Who are they? The ones the Satguru, the True Guru, draws into service.

Jo ichheh so-ee fal paavahi: whatever they long for, they receive.

Think of a garden you've watered every day. One morning it's full of ripe tomatoes. Care given over time bears fruit.

Gurbaanee sukh paa-ay: in Gurbani, the Guru's words, they find sukh, peace. The fruit of a life given to the Name is a heart at rest.

A Question to Sit With

What is a longing in your heart that you hope will one day be met?
