In plain words

When the One comes to mind, I find the home of calm and ease.

When the One comes to mind, I melt into the deep stillness of the One.

When the One comes to mind, I sing the One's praises all the time.

Nanak says: my mind is happy and content with the One.

There is a calm home inside you that you can always come back to.
The deeper layer

Remembering the One brings you home to a calm place inside.

Sahj ghar means the home of sahaj. Sahaj is an easy, natural calm, the peace of not fighting everything. Sunn samaa-i-aa means melting into a deep, wide stillness, the quiet of the One before anything was made.

Think of the moment you drop your school bag at the door and flop onto your own bed. Your whole body says, "I'm home." That is sahj ghar.

From that calm, keertan, singing the One's praise, just spills out, like humming when you are happy. And Nanak's mind is content with the One.

A Question to Sit With

Where or when do you feel most completely at ease?
