Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I lean on You, and I place my trust in You.

Everyone remembers the One, the treasure of goodness.

Your servants chant and remember You again and again, and they are full of joy.

Nanak says: I remember the True One, the treasure of goodness.

Leaning on what you trust can be full of joy, not just relief.
The deeper layer

Leaning on the One and trusting the One fills you with joy.

Bharvaasaa: trust, the kind you lean your full weight on. Guntaasaa: treasure of goodness. Jap jap anad karahi tayray daasaa: the One's servants remember again and again, and they are full of joy. Nanak joins them in remembering the True One.

A Question to Sit With
