In plain words

When one person helps another, the kindness comes back around; goodness has a way of returning.

Nanak says: I rest everything on Your shelter, ocean of peace — the support of Your Name is all I need.

Kindness given tends to find its way back.
The deeper layer

There are two answers, one small and one big.

The small answer is about people. When one person serves another, the one who was helped stands by them. Kindness comes back around. Think of helping a classmate with homework, and later they save you a seat. That is the quiet give-and-take of sayvaa, selfless service.

Then the big answer: mohi tayk tayro ik naa-ee-ai — my tayk, my support, is Your Name alone. Nanak rests everything in the One, the sukh saagar, the ocean of peace. That answers the question the pause line asked.

A Question to Sit With

When has a kindness you gave come back to you?
