In an instant, You establish and disestablish; the value of Your Almighty Creative Power cannot be estimated. ||2||7||

In plain words

I know you are all-wise, my One; I take shelter with you.

In an instant you build up and break down; the power of your creating cannot be measured.

The same power that builds up and breaks down whole worlds in an instant is scary if you don't trust it — and wondrous if you do.
The deeper layer

The shabad ends in awe at the One's creative power (kudrat). "In an instant you establish and disestablish" — worlds, fortunes, whole lives raised up and set down in a moment. This could be frightening, but held inside trust ("I know you are all-wise"), it becomes wondrous instead. The same power that could feel arbitrary feels, to the one who trusts, like the play of a wisdom too vast to second-guess. Awe and trust together turn the overwhelming into the sublime. The verse leaves the seeker small before immensity — and perfectly at peace there.

A Question to Sit With

Does something huge and powerful feel frightening or amazing to you? What makes the difference?
