The Changed Turn Others by Contact, Not Lectures

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਤਾ ਪਾਰਸੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਾਰਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਾਏ ॥
satgur bhaytay taa paaras hovai paaras ho-ay ta pooj karaa-ay.
When one meets the True Guru, he becomes the philosopher's stone, with the ability to transform others, inspiring them to worship the Lord.
ਜੋ ਉਸੁ ਪੂਜੇ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਏ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਬੁਝਾਏ ॥੨॥
jo us poojay so fal paa-ay deekhi-aa dayvai saach bujhaa-ay. ||2||
One who worships the Lord in adoration, obtains his rewards; instructing others, he reveals the Truth. ||2||

In plain words

Meet the true teaching and you become like a magic stone that turns iron to gold. Then you can lift others toward the One.

The one who truly loves the One gains the reward. And by passing it on, they show the truth to others too.

When you're truly changed, you turn others toward the good just by contact — the stone doesn't lecture the iron.
The deeper layer

This line says a changed person changes others, just by being near them.

Satgur bhaytay taa paaras hovai — meet the true Guru, and you become paaras. The paaras is a magic stone from old stories. Touch it to iron, and the iron turns to gold. The changed person does not keep the gift to themselves. They pass it on and turn others toward the One.

Loving the One makes more love. What you receive, you become able to give.

And notice how the stone works. It does not give the iron a lecture. It just touches it. Think of a friend who is always kind. You don't need a speech from them. Being around them, you start being kinder too. The reward keeps spreading: finding the One means helping others find the One.

A Question to Sit With

Who has changed you just by who they are, without ever preaching at you?
