tumro bal tum sang suhaylay jo jo kahhu so-ee so-ee karnaa. ||1||

Leaning on the One's strength, the heart grows light and glad.
Put your hope and trust in the One, and the One's strength becomes yours.
Tumhree aas bharosaa tumhraa: You are my hope and my trust. Tumro bal tum sang suhaylay: You are my power, and in Your company I am made beautiful and at ease. Jo jo kahhu so-ee so-ee karnaa: I do whatever You say. It is a glad following, the way a dancer moves with the music.
