Emotional attachment, fear and doubt are dispelled, O Nanak, by the Grace of the Saints. ||2||5||44||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The humble one who repeats the Naam is saved; You Yourself save that one.

Nanak says: clinging, fear and doubt melt away by the grace of the saints.

You are not lifted by your own strength alone — grace and the saints carry you.
The deeper layer

Repeat the Naam and you are lifted, and the One does the lifting; clinging, fear and doubt fade by the grace of the saints.

Naam japat so-oo jan uDhrai: the one who repeats the Naam is saved. Jisahi uDhaarahu aap: You Yourself do the saving. Binas jaa-ay moh bhai bharmaa: clinging, fear and doubt melt away. Sant partaap: by the grace and shining goodness of the saints.

Think of fog over a field in the morning. When the sun comes up, it simply melts.

A Question to Sit With

When has being around good people made your worries feel smaller?
