In the Sanctuary of the Saints, I am carried across; O Nanak, the terrible pain has been taken away. ||2||3||48||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Here and in the world beyond, the One fills everything, and I see the One deep within my heart.

Nanak says: in the shelter of the saints I am carried across, and the terrible pain is gone.

The One you look for far away is seen most clearly within.
The deeper layer

The One fills this world and the next, and you can see the One deep inside your own heart.

Eet oot raam pooran: here and there, the One is full and whole. Nirkhat rid khor: seen by looking deep within the heart. Sant saran taran: in the shelter of holy people, you are carried across, like a small boat safe in a harbour. Binsi-o dukh ghor: the heavy pain is gone.

A Question to Sit With

What do you find when you get quiet and look inside?
