If someone does one good deed for another, their mind puffs up big with pride.
The One gives so many gifts and so much goodness, and never once regrets it.
One good deed can puff you up, while the One gives endless goodness and never regrets it.
Jay ko ayk karai changi-aa-ee means "if someone does one good deed." Then man chit bahut bafaavai: "the mind puffs itself up a lot." Bafaavai means to swell like a balloon.
Now the contrast. Aytay gun aytee-aa chang-aa-ee-aa means "so many gifts, so much goodness." And the One day-ay na pachhotaavai: "gives and never regrets it."
Think of cleaning your room once and wanting a trophy. Meanwhile, the sun has shone every single day and never asked for thanks. Our giving often wants credit. The One's giving pours out without keeping score. The invitation is to learn that second kind of giving.
Have you ever wanted credit for something kind you did? What would it feel like to give and let it go?
