O my tongue, sing the praises of the One.
Set aside every other taste. The taste of the Naam is the sweetest of all.
The best thing your voice can do is sing what you love most.
Your voice has a best use: singing the praises of the One.
Rasnaa raam ko jas gaa-o — O tongue, sing the praise of the One. Aan su-aad bisaar saglay — set all the other tastes aside. Bhalo naam su-aa-o — the taste of the Naam is the finest. Think of how one bite of something you love makes you forget the snacks you were picking at. Choose the sweeter thing, and the smaller cravings lose their pull on their own.
