My Lord and Master is totally satisfied with me; He has rid me of the pains of death and birth. Grasping hold of the Feet of the Saints, Nanak sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||3||132||

In plain words

My doubts and my blind clinging fell away, and the ropes that tied me to all the passing things snapped loose.

And then I saw it: the One is in everyone, everywhere — so there is no one left to call an enemy. My Master is pleased with me, and the old fear of endings is gone. Nanak says: holding on to the feet of the saints, I sing the One's praises.

Seeing the One in everyone leaves no one to call an enemy.
The deeper layer

Doubt and clinging fall away, and the One is seen in everyone — so there is no one left to call an enemy (nah ko-oo bairaa-ee), the fear of endings gone, the heart at peace and singing. Seeing the One everywhere quietly ends the very idea of an enemy.

A Question to Sit With

How might it change your day to look for the One in a person you find difficult?
