Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One built a strong bank around me, and the old house of pain and sickness came tumbling down.

Everyone, women and men alike, celebrates, because kindness has been poured out over all.

When mercy floods in, the old structures of pain lose their foundation.
The deeper layer

dita bannaa — a protective embankment given; dukh rog kaa deraa bhannaa — the dwelling of pain demolished. nar naaree — women and men together, a leveling image.

A Question to Sit With

What is an old worry you would love to see come tumbling down for good?
