This one says a true teacher's power shows up as kindness. Gur poorai apnee kal Dhaaree — the perfect Guru put forth His power. Kal here means power. And look at what that power looks like: sabh ghat upjee da-i-aa, kindness springing up in every heart. Da-i-aa means compassion.
It is like one kind kid in a class who starts a chain of kindness that spreads to everyone. The Guru joins me to Himself and lifts me up. Then comes kusal khaym, safety and joy together. Real strength shows up as kindness that spreads everywhere.
